Social Network Art Competition for Iranian Artists

Call for Artists:
We... are proud to announce that artExpoTehran, in cooperation with ArtPeople Gallery, one of the premier art galleries in San Francisco, will hold an online competition for Iranian artists.
The following media will be accepted: painting (oil, acrylic, collage, watercolor, mixed media), drawing, photography, illustration and video-art.
Subject: Optional

Prizes*:
1. Two-week show at ArtPeople Gallery in San Francisco, USA.
2. Two-week show at ABRA Gallery in Los Angeles, USA
3. one-week show at 7samar Gallery in Tehran, Iran
4. seventeen days show at Fravahr Gallery in Tehran, Iran
5. Presentation of award by high official of City of San Francisco
6. Representation on ArtPeople’s website for a duration of one year
7. Introduction to ArtPeople’s community of art lovers and collectors, and exposure through Gallery’s social media pages.

Requirements :
-Each Iranian artist can enter a maximum of 3 pieces of artwork.
-Pictures must be sent in JPG format and dimensions should be less than 500 x 500 pixels.
-File volume no more than 1 MB
-Artist Introduction including:
name of artist, title of work, size and a brief description about artwork in
English and Persian.

Selection process:
Artwork will be selected in two steps:
1-Voting by visitors in the facebook.com/Modern.Painters.C ontest
page by clicking ….LIKE…on the artwork

2-By a Jury.
In the first step 50 artists and in the second step (final) 10 artists will be selected, one for each category.

Dates:
Submission Deadline: 19 November 2011

Date of semi-final Winners announcement: 11 December 2011
Date of final Winners announcement: 20 December 2011

Exhibition date for semi-final:
January 20 to February 5 2012 at fravahr Gallery, Iran

Exhibition date for 10 finalists:
March 01 to 14 2012 at ABRA Gallery Los Angeles, USA
March 15 to 31 2012 at ArtPeople Gallery San Francisco, USA
April 20 to 25 2010 at 7samar Gallery, Iran
