Ukrainian Artists around the world are invited

to participate in our Social Network Art Competition (SNAC)!

The competition is open to all Ukrainian artists working in two-dimensional media and video including: painting (oil, acrylic, collage, watercolor, mixed media), drawing, photography, illustration and video-art.

Participation in this competition is FREE!

Due Dates:

-     Submission Deadline: 24 July 2012 (11:59pm Pacific Standard Time (PST), USA). (Please note that artwork will be uploaded to our facebook page within 10 days after being approved for submission.)

-     Facebook Voting ends : 10 August 2012, (11:59pm PST)

-    Date of semi-final winners announcement: 24 August 2012

-     Date of final Grand Prize winners announcement: 20 September 2012

-     Shipment of original Artwork: November 15th, 2012

-     Submission of Consignment Agreement: November 15th, 2012  

The Awards:

Semi-Finalists:

50 most liked artists by public (via SNAC’s Facebook “Like” votes) plus 100 artists  selected by SNAC Ukraine organizers will receive:

-   Semi-Finalist Announcement and Acknowledgement

-   A publication in a limited edition publication of “ SNAC Ukraine 2012: Top 150 Ukrainian Artists” that will be available for purchase online.

 Grand Prize Finalists:

Top 20 finalist artists (selected by the Gallery Jury among the 150 semifinalists) will receive:

*   An invitation to participate in the exhibit of winning works at Art People Gallery in San Francisco, USA

*   An invitation to take part in a global tour exhibit at participating galleries including: a show at Silvana Gallery in Los Angeles, USA.

*   An invitation to the opening receptions in San Francisco and in Los Angeles*

*  An Award Certificate from an official of the City of San Francisco

*   Representation on Art People’s website for a duration of one year

*   Exposure to Art People’s community of art fans and collectors through Art People Gallery’s social media pages and PR network

Eligibility Requirements:

-     Subject: Open

-     The competition is open to all artists,18yrs and older, of Ukrainian nationality (with a Ukrainian Passport).

-     Artwork submitted must have been created between 2008 and 2012

-     Original Artwork’s dimensions should not exceed 48 x 48 inches

-     Each Ukrainian artist can submit up to 3 images of artwork. For those submitting video-art, please submit 1-3 links to your videos either on YouTube.com or  Vimeo.com

-     All artists must submit a brief artist’s statement and/or bio which includes: 1) Artist’s Name, 2) Title(s) of artwork, 3) Residential address 4) Brief background about the artist and a description of artwork (in English and Ukrainian).

-     Artwork images and artist statement and/or bio must be e-mailed to: snacukraine2012@gmail.com

-      All artwork submitted should be available for sale (the split will be 50% to the artist, 50% commission, less framing and shipping tax expenses)

-     Grand Prize winners will be responsible for shipping artwork to the Art People gallery for exhibition participation at Art People gallery.
